Jessica Poirier-Chang

Jessica is a costume designer hailing from Montreal. Her career in the world of theatre design began soon after graduating from the National Theatre School in Set and Costume Design in 2006. Over the years, she has designed for renowned theatre companies, including the Stratford Shakespeare Festival, Théâtre du Rideau Vert, Théâtre Duceppe, Atelier Lyrique, Cirque Éloize, Theatre Calgary, Théâtres aux Écuries and many more. Her journey into the realm of stage design has deep roots in her early passion for fine arts, particularly painting. This artistic pursuit has been a lifelong source of inspiration and creativity. During the pandemic, Jessica embarked on a captivating still life series, a testament to her dedication to her craft. Through her art, she found a way to process her life experiences and seek healing in the transformative journey that has brought her to where she stands today. Jessica would like to extend her heartfelt gratitude to her dear friend Kerry-Anne Kutz for the unwavering support and cherished friendship that continues to enrich her life.
